Motor vehicle travel is prohibited from the Tillamook County-Lincoln County line (45° 02.6706', Mile 247), southerly to Yaquina Bay (44° 37.0374', Mile 215), except for the following locations within the corporate limits of Lincoln City:
(A) A distance of 150 feet on each side of the westerly extension of North 35th Court;
(B) A distance of 150 feet on each side of the westerly extension of North 15th Street.

The public was telling me that they saw a Beached Seal that appeared dead. I did not see the animal.read more

This year there is increased use >350-500 visitors in one day. One must wonder the recoupertive tide effect with this increased use.read more
Exceptional low tide for this time of year. COASST survey and Marine Debris conducted. This was an unusual winter day for tide pooling >23 flora/fauna identified along with COASST dead bird Cassin's Auklet along with live birds and seals. Thirteen people on the beach.read more

Unusual to see so many people this time of the year. It was a delightful day, sunny after other rainy days and holiday vacation. Families from Kanas, Texas, Pantagonia the usual Utah, WA and CA.read more

Most significant was the establishment of the sea star survey site, exciting numbers of 3 species. In spite of the stormy weather the were 23 eager tidepool observers, all guests at Otter Crest Inn. This was a gorgeous day at Otter Rock enjoyed by many, mostly with respect for the marine environment. Unleashed dogs barking at sunning seals is a concern. People seemed not to understand there is a law governing how close is appropriate. Shoreline wildlife and driftline exhibited the week's storming ocean....read more
